Friday 15th September – Windsurf *** The Dip at Felixstowe – sunny
periods and warm.
Foil – 16.97 knot max, 15.45 knot ave, 8.62 knot hour, 14.24 knot mile,
31.37 km., 11.80 knot alpha.
Starboard Freeride 150 and a Evolution Freeride foil with a Sailworks Retro
7.5.
Another lovey day here at Felixstowe, relaxing morning at home doing my
exercises in the garden, after lunch Mag and I were going to walk along the
seafront to Lidl but David Coles Whatapped to say he was going to check out
the conditions at The Dip so I decided to head down too as it is Mags
Birthday tomorrow and we have family coming so cant sail at the weekend.
David was setting up his race foil gear with 9m and it looked too marginal
for me but I rigged 7.5 and take a chance. David was soon out flying
disappearing down the coast but he dosnt need much wind! I found it much
harder and had several short runs not getting close to flying:( I did pump
up once for a run to Jacobs ladder before the wind eased again! Then the
one star session rapidly improved as the breeze picked up and I had a
fantastic long run down the coast to Landguard and some nice beats back,
really lovely in the late afternoon sunshine:)
